About Me

Pam McFarland

I’m a mom, wife, sister, dancer, cat-, music- and book- lover who also loves to write. Writing has helped me navigate the ups and downs of daily living, from getting stuck in traffic, to the births of two sons, to the loss of both parents. Journaling has at various points also given me a road map for the direction and choices I want to make in my life.

I am a certified therapeutic writing facilitator, and I work with people to help them find the tools and resources they need to express what is uniquely theirs to say. I have offered workshops for people from all walks of life, including solopreneurs, spiritual seekers, seniors, homeless women, women in recovery, and middle-schoolers.

I’ve also been a writer and editor for various trade publications and my own work for close to 25 years, and I have Masters’ degrees in both public relations and fiction writing.

I believe that we humans are more alike than different. We all want to belong, be accepted and to be loved. There is so much pain and suffering in the world caused by hatred that is fueled by ignorance, or by having basic needs—to be loved and accepted—thwarted. There is so much room on this Earth for healing…healing our lives, our hearts, and our planet.
